The consortium consists of partners from the industry, operators, SMEs, as well as universities and research institutes. The wide range of participants’ profiles is expected to bring together the visions of novel network solutions, as well as latest research in the areas of communications networking and computing.
The industry and SME partners represent a combination of mobile network vendors, network management companies, cloud computing enterprises and security companies. This will bring together the expertise needed for concepts of software defined mobile networks, including utilization virtual resources and cloud computing.
The operators will provide insight into utilization of the new network concepts in the networks from the perspectives of traffic management and quality of service in software defined mobile networks. They can also provide feedback on the economic viability.
The university and research institute partners represent latest research knowledge on communication networks complemented with cloud computing, security and techno-economics competence.
